We are a market garden focused on growing the highest quality produce using sustainable practices. Healthy, strong, productive plants come from management practices that place an emphasis on soil health. We feed the soil a balance of organic nutrients and compost and in turn, the the soil feeds the crops. With this approach we are not focused on spraying to treat symptoms, nor are we using chemicals to fight weeds. With minimal tillage, we preserve the soil tilth and with ground cover and lots of hands on weeding we help our crops along. We are low on fossil fuel consumption by using hand tools and a walk behind tractor, something only possible at a smaller scale (or with draft animals, which we don’t have!)...
